Cold Blooded Caffeine - Nocturnal Roast Coffee

Dark without the bitterness. Nocturnal Roast is our dark roast coffee, designed for the people who want a bold, full-bodied cup without the harsh, burnt aftertaste of an over-roasted bean. Dark chocolate and almond up front, a deep tobacco note underneath, and a heavy, satisfying finish that still has enough structure to be interesting. This is the cup that gets you out of bed.

Roasted in small batches at our facility in Summerville, SC using specialty grade beans from Colombia, Papua New Guinea, and Brazil. The Papua New Guinea adds the earthy, tobacco character. The Colombian brings the dark chocolate depth. The Brazilian pushes the roast just far enough to create the heavy, smoky finish.

Blend details:

• Colombia (El Tambo, Cauca): Washed process. Provides the dark chocolate backbone
• Papua New Guinea (Waghi Valley, Jiawaka Province): Washed process. Adds earthy, tobacco depth that can handle the heat of a dark roast
• Brazil (Sul Minas): Natural process. Roasts slightly faster than the others, adding the smoky, heavy roast character
